Have been doing a lot of refiring pieces lately. Experimenting doesn't always turn out pretty so when that happens I just load up the saggar with a bunch of organic materials and turn up the heat! These were a very pleasant surprise. :-)

Working on new pieces for the pit fire...

Loving the saggar fire process. The results are different every time and there are so many ways to experiment. This is my favorite one so far!

Learning to slip cast. Have had this mold for ages and finally got to use it. The shape is wonderful as well its size gives the fire a sizable canvas on which to paint. Lots of fun and pretty happy with the results. Will continue to explore the world of slip casting!

Doing a little practice raku for an upcoming firing. This one really turned out!

New saggar fired chimes now available at Whidbey Clay Center in Freeland Washington.
